Killer Banh Mi Reviews

This small place located in a strip mall on the corner of 82nd and powell has great food and customer service. I've gone a few times now and all the staff has been so friendly. I love their banh mi sandwiches and super excited that they now have momos. We tried the steamed and the deep fried pork momos, both were good, but I prefer the steamed ones. We also ordered a char su pork, beef bulgogi, chicken katsu and the pork belly sandwiches. The bulgogi and chicken katsu was my favorite. Both had lots of flavor. The potato onion pakoda was also very delicious, it's a good alternative to the regular french fries. Don't forget to ask for the homemade hot sauce, it's fire .

I finally got around to eating here in person. It's a really cozy clean little place next to Winnco. The staff were really friendly and offered free tea while I waited for my food. (It's a family-run place, I found out, and everyone seems happy to work together.) There was also self-serve cold water, which was really nice since I'd been walking a long way by the time I got there. I got the korean bbq sandwich with cajun fries and a hibiscus lemonade. Everything was fresh and hot, the drink was icy and sweet in the best way. The veggies in the sandwich were crisp, my favorite thing. Looking forward to coming back.

I just wanted to add that these are some of the best, if not THE best, wings I've ever had. I don't know what they're doing to make them so light and crisp but the texture is everything! Really delicious flavors to choose from too.

Located in a strip mall, this place is banh mi fusion and has a pretty interesting menu. It's not very big inside, but has a few tables. The sandwiches don't skip on fillings, but the prices are pretty high compared to most banh mi on 82nd or in the area. $9.99. I will say you can get some fun choices like Korean fried chicken. First time, so I chose to start with the lemongrass chicken and made it a combo. The egg rolls were my choice as a side - I was excited to get two, but the inside was not very tasty - cooked well though. The sandwich was filling and I liked it overall - the bread was decent - but not amazing. The star was the upgrade for $3 to get an Iced Viets Coffee - it was one of the best I've ever had. I might stop here just to get that. The lady who helped me was super nice and their placement/ presentation of the food/bag was artful. Thanks! It was almost $20 for my meal. $14.99 plus $3 drink upgrade.

I appreciated the unusual flavor options on the menu but also the traditional banh mi. I've tried two of their sandwiches and they were both exceedingly tasty. They don't get mushy if you don't eat them right away which is also really nice. Staff were perfectly friendly.

Was curious to see what opened up on good ole 82nd. Was surprised to find a banh mi shop nestled in the plaza. Place was very basic, they seem to focus a lot on fusion Asian style banh mi and not just the traditional Vietnamese style. As always we test the quality of a Vietnamese place by ordering the most basic of basic sandwiches in the mother land, a normal Vietnamese banh mi. Price point is double than your average sandwich ranging from $8-9+. But they give you a little more meat. But I'm not sure if I can justify going here often. Service was quick and they were super attentive! My only gripe is that everything is cut really chunky and blocky. It kind of takes away from eating the sandwich but the flavors were good and the bread was crispy. Will likely go back and try their brisket or other Korean flavors. Be warned the plaza area is a bit high traffic for suspicious humans so I wouldn't head here too late. But for a quick bite to go? Yes!

My absolute favorite place ever. I'm in love with the braised pork belly banh mi. It's fairly priced and so so delicious. The workers are extremely nice, they gave us complimentary milk tea ! I never get tired of my sandwich, it's so yummy and always has a good amount of meat. I literally get excited thinking about eating here ! I would add a picture but I eat my food so fast that I don't have time. Thank you so much for the best experience!
